Marine Craft - Sound Insulation Materials
Marine Noise Control on luxury motor yachts is a demanding aspect of Acoustics, where restricted spaces, high engine noise, weight restrictions and the use of light rigid materials come together in one place.
The challenge when engineering acoustic insulation for motor yacht applications is to work in harmony with boat designers and produce material constructs that are tuned to the dominant frequencies experienced on board.
The Lamapro range of materials and the design of the composites employed is where Siderise really make a difference. With over 20 years experience of working with the best in UK luxury boat building we have much to offer when it comes to engine room treatments, bulkhead solutions and room isolation. Our acoustic insulation materials are compliant with the recreational craft directive (RCD) and are ISO 4589-3 compliant, i.e. materials are non-combustible with an oxygen index of greater than 21.
