Acoustic Foam
Acoustic foam can be used as an absorbent lining material or as part of a dual function composite incorporating a high mass layer and providing both insulation and absorption.
Acoustic foam is able to reduce the sound pressure level within an enclosure or an environment by its ability to allow sound waves to enter the material and then, via a series of inter-connected open cells, the acoustic energy is converted into heat via friction.
A wide range of Lamapro acoustic foams have been laboratory tested for their acoustic performance and 1/3 octave absorption co-efficients are available on request. This data allows us to fine tune an acoustic foam composite to a given noise source.
Siderise's experience in both acoustic foam processing and in applications engineering make us ideally suited to find the solution your business needs.
