Acoustic Barriers / Damping Materials
Acoustic Barriers are high-mass limp materials which are used for their sound insulation properties, in basic terms the higher the mass of an element or an acoustic barrier the greater the insulation or sound reduction value. Lamapro barriers are available in a variety of weights and can be incorporated in absorbent composites and cut to size to fit a given application or production unit. Damping materials are similar in properties to barriers but are specially formulated to reduce resonance and vibration in stiff panels / sheet metal. See Lamapro Vibrastop below.
